Resonate Studio A is our analog suite, featuring our meticulously maintained, 1986 4000E-Series Solid State Logic console. Built at the very end of the E-Series run, this console sports nearly all of the G-Series improvements, yet retains the unmistakable E-Series sonics; full of punch, aggression and ultra vibe. This very console carried mix engineer Chris Lord-Alge through the golden years of his career (nearly nineteen of them!), so it's certainly safe to say that the console has logged a tremendous amount of hits, including Green Day's "American Idiot" and tremendous projects for U2, Tim McGraw, the Dave Matthews Band, Tina Turner, Sade, Faith Hill, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, and Joe Cocker, among many others. The room also features the requisite collection of outboard gear that one would expect to find in such a room; things like Neve 1073's, original 1176LN's, the mandatory Lexicon 480L, along with some of our more esoteric wonders, such as our Dytronics Cyclosonic Panner and the very rare AMS Tape Phase Simulator. Studio A also includes a vintage Ampex ATR-102 1/2" analog recorder to bring that extra bit of warmth during mixdown. Ah, the glories of analog! The suite comes with its own overdub room or you might choose to set your drums right up in the Great Space for that mondo sound. Studio A also offers its own lounge and full use of resonate's ultra-comfy common areas; and of course, all parts of the building offer natural light and sight lines designed to allow you to enjoy resonate's open architecture and striking interiors. |
